Slide 38[D]

Slide 38 Content

It is easy to understand how many things may become lost or misplaced when they are confused together without organization. Contrast becomes essential. Notice the legibility of the JG/GPF of the titled brochure in white figures against a black ground.

Narration of Slide 38

Listen to the Audio (MP3, 332 KB) or read the transcript:

Dealing with objects within the environment, there are issues of legibility that are dependent upon visibility as critical aspects of two dimensional communication and product technologies. In the slide above, there is an example of contrast and visibility among the various papers and other communications on the desk surface. The cover, reading "JG GPF" is white lettering on a black surface - the most visible figure ground relationship in any lighting conditions. While partially obscured through the empathic lens, it is still visible and legible.
