Estimates for Making PowerPoint Accessible

Time estimates for the major tasks of making a PowerPoint presentation into an accessible web-based format assume familiarity with the concepts presented in Module 3 and a basic understanding of web design concepts.

Overall: 3-5 hours for a PowerPoint presentation with 20-30 slides.

• Title slide: 2 minutes.
• Bullet-list slide: 5-10 minutes (depending upon levels in list).
• Multiple columns slide: 5-15 minutes.
• Embedded video slide: 30+ minutes, but varies on length of video.
• Table slide: 10-15 minutes.
• Image slide: 2 minutes per image.
• Shapes slide: 5-15 minutes (depending upon the complexity of shapes).
• Notes slide: 5-10 minutes per note.
• Chart slide: 10-15 minutes.
• Non-outline text slide: 5-10 minutes.
• Sound slide: 5 minutes for each sound.
