Files You Need for Module 6
Version Information
Microsoft Word 2007 will be used for the following webpages. Resultant files
will be demonstrated in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox; when applicable any
differences will be discussed.
Windows Lab Files
Note: The files in this lab were prepared in an older version of Word. If you are opening them in more recent versions, they will open in "Compatibility Mode." Please ignore this and continue with the lab.
The compressed file below contains all of the materials required for a Windows
user to complete the interactive labs found within Module 6.
To Download the Windows files
- Save the
Windows Zip File.
- When prompted, select "Save As" and save the file to your desktop.
Note: When the file is opened, these materials
will automatically extract into a folder called "mod6lab" on your
hard drive.
Macintosh Lab Files
The compressed file below contains all of the materials required for a Macintosh
user to complete the interactive labs found within Module 6.
To Download the Macintosh files
- Save the Macintosh
Stuffit File.
- The file will save to your desktop.
Note: After being downloaded, these materials
will automatically extract into a folder called "mod6lab."
Lab Overview
Throughout Module 6, a sample document that incorporates various common
elements found in Word documents will be used. The sample document is two pages
and includes the following elements:
- Paragraphs of "plain" text,
- Section headings,
- Layout tables,
- Data tables,
- Bulleted lists,
- Numbered lists,
- Hyperlinks, and
- Images.
