Files You Need for Module 7

Version Information

Module 7 applies to both Excel 2000 and Excel 2002 (also known as Excel XP), but the lessons learned here are easily transferred to Excel 97 or other earlier versions. Resultant web pages will be demonstrated in Internet Explorer and Mozilla; any important differences will be discussed.

Windows Lab Files

The compressed file below contains all of the materials required for a Windows user to complete the interactive labs found within Module 7.

To Download the Windows files

  1. Save the Windows Zip File
  2. When prompted, select "Save As" and save the file to your desktop.
    Note: When the file is opened, these materials will automatically extract into a folder called "mod7lab" on your hard drive.

Macintosh Lab Files

The compressed file below contains all of the materials required for a Macintosh user to complete the interactive labs found within Module 7.

To Download the Macintosh files

  1. Save the Macintosh Stuffit File
  2. The file will save to your desktop.
    Note: After being downloaded, these materials will automatically extract into a folder called "mod7lab".

Sample Excel File

You should download the Sample Excel spreadsheet(Excel, 71 KB) to your computer for later use in the module.

Lab Overview

Throughout this module, you will use a sample document that incorporates various common elements found in Excel documents. The sample document is three pages in length and includes the following elements:
